A Terrible Algebra

Only don't, I beseech you, generalize too much in these sympathies and tendernesses--remember that every life is a special problem which is not yours but another's, and content yourself with the terrible algebra of your own.

  1. How very intriguing, Wayne. I would have never thought to equate my own life as an algebra problem but I think that makes a lot of sense. And it helps to explain, perhaps, why I do so enjoy figuring out my life since algebra and solving puzzles of all sorts has always entertained me!

Thank you for this new perspective, courtesy of Mr. James.

    All the best to you,
    Erica
